Things I want to remember

I just love to listen to children and the way they view the world.

A while back Andrew had a really bad sinus infection and there was a nasal spray the Dr. prescribed for him, but unfortunately the insurance didn't cover it.

We didn't get it but after a while gave in and I bought it anyway. When I brought it home I told Andrew I hoped it worked since the pharmacist said we couldn't return it.

You never know who is listening, but apparently Sienna was because later that day Andrew went to use the spray and as he put it in his nose all of the sudden Sienna says,"Oh, now I see why you can't return that!"

I was cracking up!
Rigdon has had some funnies lately too.

First is a sweet one. As sienna came out one day wearing a new school shirt Rigdon walked up to her and said, " oh, Sienna you look beautiful."
What a nice brother.

The other day I brought home some lunch and when I asked Rig if he wanted some chicken nuggets he said, "No, I already maked my own and it was dewishious."

Then after he got off the bus Wednesday I asked him what he did at school and he told me they had a fire drill. I asked him where they went and he said, " we went out to the playground, Mom there was so many kids it was like a whole army! No, it was like three armies."

I just love it!
These two are just so fun. I wish I had written down things better when my other kids were small.

I'm so glad to have the blog!

August Birthday Men!

Happy 38th birthday to Andrew! He told me to surprise him with a cake flavor of my choice instead of the traditional butter cake with chocolate frosting so we had toasted coconut sour cream cake. It was yummo! I love this man more each year! He is such a good man. He is still serving in the bishopric which keeps him pretty busy and he is going to try out for the East Valley Mormon Choir which will be a lot of fun for him this year.

Then two days later... happy Birthday Rigdon! The big 5 years old! I can't believe it. Diaper bags are a thing of the past and the kindergarden backpack is out!
I just had to  pull some of my favorite baby pictures.
He had his birthday lunch at Red Robin. He was a little shy about the birthday song but loved his sundae.
 First bus ride home!
We had a family party Saturday night. His cake looks a little sad in the picture but there were strawberries and whipped cream for the top.

I love this little guy! He loves everyone and wants to be good! ! He is pretty good about sharing and wants others to feel happy. Rigdon brings joy wherever he goes.

This summer...

This summer was full of activity! Sienna started off with fairy camp at Studio R Ballet where she currently takes ballet. She moved up to the formal division this year and is excited to be in the Nutcracker this Christmas.

The kids all did dive or Swim team this year, getting them up early everyday. Oh me too by the way...

 Sienna
 Mason
Gunner. I don't have a picture of Ashlynn in the water. She was the swim team girl and had a good time with her friends every morning.
Mason participated in the cub scout space derby. He did quite well and we all had a great time trying something new.
This summer it rained a bunch! It was so refreshing to have all the rain. This was a particularly hard rain. Love me some rain dancing!
Ashlynn, Kenzie Checketts, Gunner, and Sienna. Mason and Rigdon were in the mini driving to a friends house with Andrew, I was a little worried they would get blown off the road but they made it back just fine.
After we had traveled to Cristal's wedding in Utah they had an open house here a month later.

I said yes when she asked if it could be at my house... Then I spent a week cleaning, and cleaning, and cleaning. I got it all done but I will say I was ready to rest for a day when it was over!

The newlyweds stayed with us. So we got to enjoy their company.

 Kathy looking so cute.

After helping Cristal with her wedding hair I have tried it out on myself for these warm summer Sundays. Love it!

The end of Summer has come and time to get back to school.!!! I mean, I was so sad to send them to school;( haha they were driving my crazy with the constant wrestling!
Rigdon started kindergarden. I can't believe it!
Mason is pretty proud of his backback. He loves new stuff.
Gunner will be the king of the campus this year. Cool 6th grader.

Ashlynn has a little time left before she starts up. She is going to a private school this year.

The Kimber academy starts on September 4th. She is excited about the change, they have a shorter day than other schools. Core curriculum is from 8-12 Tuesday,Wednesday, and Thursday.

So back in the swing of things. At least now that the school schedule has started again I won't forget scouts and piano because I just want to be schedule free! Thank goodness for a cell phone where I can program in everything to remind me!
